CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - CHARITY SECTOR

In this exciting role, the successful candidate - who must have a
genuine passion for supporting the ASD community across Ireland, will

for our workers, many of whom have a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome or
Autism.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will oversee the
day-to-day operations of the charity, with a key focus on securing
funding (or initiating fundraising activities) as well as social
enterprise operations, residential unit operations, business
development and best practice supports and services as follows:
LEADERSHIP: motivating and leading staff and volunteers to achieve
aims and objectives of the organization?through an authentic,
empathetic and supportive leadership style that embraces diversity and
creates an inclusive, safe and engaging work environment for our
workers
PLANNING: playing a key role as member of the strategic planning
committee and setting the annual strategic plan to factor in target
market, strategic direction, funding opportunities and team
capability. Providing for effective budgeting and financial management
to operate in line with KPIs and strategic vision. Developing and
implementing strategic direction and operational proposals and plans
of the organization in line with the Board of Directors?
expectations and that of our service users.
FINANCIAL: securing and managing funding required to carry out
activities, preparing and monitoring budgets and operational accounts,
maintaining records for the Annual Financial Report.
OVERSIGHT: overseeing the operations of all services and programmes,
ensuring goals and objectives are met in line with timeframes and
within budget restrictions
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Identifying new opportunities for Aspire Social
Enterprise client business, building key relationships and networking
to build the brand as necessary
HUMAN RESOURCES: overseeing the recruitment and management of
Volunteers and Staff. Carrying out key HR activities including
performance management, performance review/appraisals, ensuring
training records and other relevant HR records are compliant, accurate
and up to date, addressing conflict and complaints
COMPLIANCE: ensuring operations adhere to legal and statutory
responsibilities. Preparing reports and returns on behalf of or for
the attention of, the Board of Directors. Developing, reviewing and
implementing policies to ensure operations remain compliant with
legislation and best practice.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: represent the work of the organisation in a positive
manner by building relationships with clients, the public, our
stakeholders, media, relevant agencies and charities and officials.
DEVELOPMENT: engaging with stakeholders to establish new and develop
existing services. Providing strategic proposals to the Board to
promote such services, gain Director support and approval as
necessary.
COMMUNICATION: Assessing the performance of the enterprise against
goals and plans. Providing monthly reports to the board with progress
against goals. Addressing key issues to the board and identifying
risks and appropriate mitigation strategies and plans.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
* At least two years Commercial Director, Senior Manager or CEO
experience (SME) with good financial acumen and high emotional
intelligence. Able to anticipate board requirements and best practice
initiatives to drive business success.
* Degree or similar in social care work and/or business
administration essential. Higher certification or qualification in
management or leadership preferred.
* Solid understanding of Social Enterprise operations ideal, with a
strong background in new business development and brand awareness /
growth
* Good understanding of HSE funded Residential Centre operations
preferred
* Strong authentic leadership ethos, with a passion for employee
engagement, innovation, diversity and inclusion
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to
adapt work environment and communication style to meet the needs of
our community and staff members
* Genuine passion for supporting the autism community and driving
the objectives of the business through real and effective programmes
and services
This is a hybrid role. Flexibility is required to attend frequent
appointments outside of home office including visits to the
